Turning the power of clothing into the power of society. UNIQLO is working on sustainability activities every day, starting with what we can do, aiming for harmony between the earth, society, and people, and sustainable development. For example, UNIQLO is promoting the "RE. UNIQLO" initiative to recycle and reuse all of its products. Collection boxes are set up in stores, and the collected clothes are delivered to people around the world who need clothes, such as refugee camps and emergency disaster relief in disaster areas, together with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and NGOs and NPOs around the world. In addition, clothes that cannot be reused are recycled by processing them into fuel or soundproofing materials. Furthermore, as a new initiative, we have recently been promoting "clothing-to-clothing recycling," starting with down products. With new technology developed in collaboration with our strategic partner Toray, we can now efficiently produce recycled materials.
